me vs. the world... for tonight

There is a multitude of bad in this world. I recently heard a friend of mine say ‘the world would be a better place with out humans’. I agree, we are destructive and selfish creatures. There is so much bad and evil in the world and so many people who are oblivious. But we are here.

The American Dreamer. Have my own house with a front yard separated by the side walk with a fence. A new car in my drive way and the dog out back, while there is stakes on the grill. This is why we graduate from high school so we can go to college. Then so we can get that great paying job. All so we can live comfortably. This is a safe, beautiful and picture perfect dream to have. There really is nothing wrong with it.

But there is a lot wrong with the world. So why is it that as such a powerful people, this is all we strive for. This is what is taught to children as “making it”. We need to educate teens on what really is happening to people of their same age just on the other side if the globe. Ignorance is not bliss.

Why not make the world a better place with us in it? Not with out us.
